Some small objects are in the waiting room on the second floor of a transit company. Using the artist’s unique technique, she created the shape of a person’s hands scooping water. The people living in Iida in the vicinity of the exhibit were her models. Each set of hands has a different shape and distinctive manner of cupping them together. We’re made to rethink the meaning of “scoop,” which we do daily unconsciously, through the inverted form of the action.
