Exhibition Area Shouin|Former fishing gear warehouse
Viewing hours: 9:30-17:00
Closed Thursdays (except for September 23, a national holiday)
In the dim interior of a former fishing gear warehouse, an enormous raging wave, which made the most significant impression on the artist in Suzu, emerges. The work, made from layers of hand-painted transparent film, looks three-dimensional from the front. If you look at the work from the side or another angle, you can feel the fluctuation of form perception and the uncertainty and activeness in “looking.”
